Teaching me to skate
The year must have been around 1974, we lived on Grosse Ile in Michigan. I don't remember how they met, but my parents were friends with the MacKellars. I started to learn how to ice skate and play hockey, and Mr. Mackellar (as I called him) taught me and coached me. Over the years growing up, I spent many days hanging out with Ian and Keith, terrorizing Sandy, playing hockey in the basement, and swimming in their pool in the summer. Those were the best of times! We all had so much fun together! Mr. Mackellar was a great dad and we always had a blast hanging out. Peace and love, Mike Flaherty
