My Daddy
When I was eight years old, our pastor came to our home in Leslie, S.C. I had expressed an interest
in the plan of salvation. He stood me in the center of the kitchen table and told me to jump into my
Daddy's arms as he stood next to the table. Without any thought at all, I stepped right off that table,
into his waiting arms. Rev. Ray Shumpert said that was unconditional trust and love. I
felt that for my Daddy every day of our lives. I'm grateful to Daddy for showing me that emotion.
I still love you Daddy and I miss you.
