Obituary for Ernest Lionel Phenald
Ernest Lionel Phenald, 74, resident of Pride, husband to Eula Mae Phenald, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, surrounded by his family at his home in Pride. He was born on January 6, 1942, in Livingston Parish and raised in Pride, Louisiana. Ernest was the oldest of 6 children.
Ernest was preceded in death by Ernest Woodrow Phenald, father, Nettice Phenald, Mother, Patricia Phenald Ballard, Sister, Howard Phenald, brother, Merlin Phenald, brother, and Hannah Brown, Granddaughter.
Ernest is survived by Eula Mae Phenald, wife of 56 years, 4 children, Deborah Thoms, daughter, Stephen Phenald, Son, with wife, Becky Phenald, Richard Phenald, son, Kris Brown, daughter, with husband, Gene Brown, Travis Phenald, brother with wife, Marie Phenald, Michael Phenald, brother with wife Kathy Phenald, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Ernest loved spending most of his time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be loved and missed dearly!
His arrangements will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 16135 Milldale Road, Pride, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visiting will continue the next morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am service. Burial will be in the Naul Family Cemetery in Bluff Creek.
Pallbearers will be Joey Lambert, Dusty Lambert, Anthony Phenald, Jesse Phenald, Joe Phenald, Jessie Phenald and Layton Phenald and Gene Brown. Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary is in charge of arrangements.
