Obituary for Charles Wilburn "Chuck" Williams

Charles Wilburn Williams Jr. “Chuck”, 57, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Saturday, April 23, 2016. He was an employee of Georgia Pacific, where he worked for 17 years. He was a native of Chickasaw, AL. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 6pm until 9pm and then on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9am until funeral services at 10am, conducted by Dr. Wayne Barnes. Burial will be at Azalea Rest Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Salter Williams; two daughters, Brandy Williams Hopwood and her husband Brian Hopwood of Zachary, LA; Jessica Williams Tauzin and her husband Charlie Tauzin of Slidell, LA; one son, Charles “Chase” Williams, III and his fiancé Amy Marquette of Zachary; one sister, Cindi Williams Wright and her husband David Wright of Goose Creek, SC; brother-in-law Jimmy Lyles of Citronelle, AL; four grandchildren Raegan Williams, Andrew Hopwood, Bryce Hopwood, and Shep Tauzin; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family; friends too numerous to count; and his most beloved pet “Daddy’s Girl GiGi.” He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sara Williams; and his sister Judy Lyles. Pallbearers will be Brian Hopwood, Charlie Tauzin, David Wright, Hal Quebedeaux, Blaine Logan, Bill Powell, Wayne Morris and Jimmy Lyles. Honorary pallbearers will be David Metcalfe, Todd McKey, Bob Poole, Greg Denson, and Mike Gouner. Special thanks to the Zachary Fire Department First Responders, Dr. Michelle Cossé, and the Lane Regional Medical Center Emergency Room Staff.
