Obituary for George Everett Brooks Jr.

George Everett Brooks, Jr. died on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the age of 73. Graveside service will be on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11am at Eastern Star Cemetery, Wilson conducted by Rev. Dale Phillips.

Survived by his sister, Mary Jo Neathery and husband, Bobby; a niece, Brandi Broussard and her husband, Damon of Prairieville; a nephew, Ricky Neathery and his wife, Sydney, of Baker; a step nephew, Robbie Neathery of Baker; a great niece, Madison Broussard and a great nephew, Seth Neathery. Preceded in death by his parents, George Everett Brooks and Nellie Price Brooks. A special thanks to his friend Rene Netter, who pushed his wheelchair and took care of him and also to the doctors and nurses at University Medical Hospital in New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Comite Baptist Church, 12250 Greenwell Springs Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70814.
