Obituary for Bowman John Gautreau

Bowman J. Gautreau, born May 6, 1946, passed on November 26, 2014. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of the Feliciana Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He was a retired machinist and millwright. Visitation will be at the Feliciana Baptist Church on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 9am until funeral services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Tony Hand. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Jordan Gautreau; two sons, John B. Gautreau (Beaux) and wife Stacy; and Travis L. Gautreau and wife Jennifer. He is also survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law: Carolyn and Larry Mollier; Amanda and Roy Lamoyne; Audrey and Arthur Ficklin; and Cherrie and Andy Mayers; sister-in-law Diane Gautreau and sister in law Denise Arnold and Bobby Arnold; five granddaughters, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great-granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by adopted-in-laws Rachel and Keith Williams, and Alicia and Michael Cowart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Sanders Gautreau; brother Francis J. Gautreau; father and mother-in-law Walter B. and Verna Mae Jordan; brother-in-law Walter Kyle Jordan; and nephew Shane Roshto. Pallbearers will be Beaux and Travis Gautreau, Bobby Arnold, Andy Mayer, Keith Williams, Ed Evans, Arthur Ficklin, Larry Mollier, Robert and Vernon Sigrest, and Jason Coursey. Honorary pallbearers will be his Men’s Sunday School Class.
