Obituary for Alan DeVere Carlyle

Alan DeVere  Carlyle
A resident of Baker, he died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was 54 years old and was employed as a Tool Tech with The Home Depot in Zachary.

Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 from 5pm until 9pm and continues on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Pastor Jack Whittington. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kathy Carlyle.

HIs children, Chris Oglesby and wife, Robyn and Issac Kendrick. Grandchild, Kylah Oglesby.

His parents, Roger and Nancy Carlyle; a sister, Deanna Kay Rodenbeck and husband, Carl, uncle, John Carlyle and nieces and a nephew, Amanda Grosze and husband, Jason; Megan Rodenbeck and fiancee, Luke Atchley; and Connor Rodenbeck.

Sisters in law and brothers in law, Glenn and Dana Oglesby, Louise and H.W. Alexander, Cynthia Boutwell, Johnny and Debra Oglesby and Tammy and John Westbrook.

He is preceded in death by his in laws, Johnny and Rowena Oglesby and a brother in law, Mikel Oglesby.

Pallbearers will be Jason Grosze, Luke Atchley, Matthew Alexander, Douglas Atkins, Chris Oglesby and Issac Kendrick.

Honorary pallbearers are the Employees of The Home Depot in Zachary.
