She was a young 71. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Clinton on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 12pm until service at 2pm conducted by Rev. Ed Jelks. Burial will be in Eastern Star Cemetery, Wilson. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ancil A. Carruth, Jr. who faithfully brought her coffee in bed for the last 49 years. After the first year of bringing it to him, she said it was his turn. Daughters, Stacey Carruth Foretich and husband, Mark; and Yancey Ann Carruth. Sons, Mark Alex Carruth and wife, Christine; Marlon Ancil Carruth and wife, Lori; and Matthew Joseph Carruth. Sisters, Kay Floyd Tate, Gloria Jean Floyd Runnels, and Judy Floyd Brown and a brother, Clifford Wayne Floyd. 11 grandchildren, Eden, Ethan, Kennedy, Cannon, Gavin, Macie, Hayes, Andrew, Josh, Jennifer and Elijah. 1 great grandson, Bentley. She is preceded in death by her father, Alex Leon Floyd, her mother, Minnie Floyd Netterville, stepfather, Clarence Netterville, sisters, Virginia Bills, Janice Nan Floyd, Shelvie Floyd Mendoza and brother, Jerry Leon Floyd and infant granddaughter, Emley Grace Carruth. Pallbearers will be Gavin Carruth, Ethan Carruth, Josh Carruth, Andrew Roberts, Tommy Berthelot, Jonathan Runnels, and Marvin Runnels. Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Harrelson Brown, Wayne Tate, David Tate, and Irving Wheeler. Yancey was a devoted caregiver to all but especially to her nephew, Leslie Harrelson Brown. She loved her family with abandon and was especially close to her sisters.
