It is with great sadness that the family of Marvelene Vaughan Wilson announces her passing on, August 2, 2018 at the age of 81. Marvelene was born on June 28, 1937 to Hugh and Ida Lee Vaughan in New Orleans, Louisiana and resided in Louisiana until her death. Marvelene was an X-Ray Technician at East Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson, Louisiana and retired with 30 years of service. Marvelene loved working in her yard and fishing. Marvelene was loved by many and will be missed by many.
Marvelene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Tommy DeLee; grandchildren, Thomas II (Michelle), Ronald (Travis), and Hope (Heather) DeLee; great- grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, Ethan, and Skyler DeLee; sister and nephew, Velma and Terry Vaughan; and long-time companion Linton Manuel.
Marvelene is preceded in death by her father and mother, Hugh and Ida Lee Vaughan; sister, Bobbie Vaughan Farris; and nephew, Ronnie Farris.
The pallbearers are Thomas DeLee II, Ronald DeLee, Travis DeLee, Frank Newman, Jimmy Hayes, and Walter Tinkler. Arrangements pending for Sunday, August 5, 2018. Reverend Joey Hoyt will conduct the service.
