Obituary for Gail Polk (Thompson)
Gail Thompson Polk, 77, a resident of Clinton passed away on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018. She is survived by her daughter Rendy Polk Richard and son-in- law Mike Richard of Walker; son Rip Polk and daughter in law Staci Polk of Sour Lake, Texas. Her loving grandchildren Bailey Williams, McKenzie Polk, and Peyton Richard. Her brother and sister in law- Michael and Sue Thompson of Rock Hill, SC. Nephew and nieces, Mark Kemp and Marsha Kemp of Clinton, Mark Thompson, Keith Thompson, Drew Thompson of Rock Hill, South Carolina, along with her cousin Gary Christian of Knoxville, TN . She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Hubert L. Polk Jr. (Coach Polk), her parents Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Thompson, Nephew Rocky Kemp, aunt and uncle, Earl and Juanita Christian, and cousin Channon Christian.
A memorial service will be held at the Feliciana Baptist Church in Clinton, LA on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in her memory to Behind the Line Baton Rouge, P.O. Box 2490 Denham Springs, LA 70726 or to the Clinton Fire Department. The family wishes to extend their most gracious thanks to Nottingham Rehab Hospital, Clarity Hospice- The Crossing, and Charlet Funeral Home for all of their support and care.
