Obituary for Anthony "Skeeter" Smith

Anthony Smith, “Skeeter”, 67, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his home. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 10am until funeral services at 12noon, conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be at Shaw-McHugh cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Paula Smith; two daughters, Kelley Smith Hawkins and husband Stewart Hawkins of Angola, LA; Ashley Smith Nicholas and husband Douglas “DJ” Nicholas of Cogan Station, PA; one son, Eric Anthony Smith of Harrison, AR; one sister, Rita Tracy and husband John of Texas; one brother, John Smith of Baton Rouge; ten grandchildren, Brittany Stagg, Madison Hawkins, Trey Nicholas, Maverick Hawkins, Maggie Hawkins, Maddox Hawkins, Manning Hawkins, Parker Nicholas, Ryleigh Nicholas, and Presleigh Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Smith and mother Earline McHugh Smith. Pallbearers will be Stewart Hawkins, Logan Cooper, Roman Berry, Douglas “DJ” Nicholas, Jeremy Rabalais, and Jason Hebert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Baton Rouge.
