Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Paul E. Mathes, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 5, 2017. He was 80 years old and a resident of Ethel, LA. He was a retired employee of Kraft Foods and former owner of Mathes Appliances in Baton Rouge, LA.
Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 9am until service at 12pm. Pastor David Brown will conduct the service. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years , Ann, his daughter Terrie (Dan)Pauls, sons, Paul E. (Tami) Mathes, Jr., Lee Thompson Mathes, Brian ( Wendy) Turchiarelli and Bruce (Georgette) Turchiarelli. 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A brother, Sonny (Doll) Mathes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lucille Mathes, a grandson, Dallas R. Pauls, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
He was a lifelong musician.
